Whilst applying for more grants, the team at Open House has been out and about in the community. On Tuesdays (weather permitting), volunteers can be found serving free hot drinks outside the building on Chesterfield Road between 10:00-11:30. This is an excellent opportunity to meet the local people, talk about Open House and to be a joyful presence on the Woodseats high street.

More recently, Open House has been invited to run pop-up coffee shops at the Woodseats Community Garden, which will become a regular event as the year progresses. This has been great for getting stuck into activity that’s already established, building relationships with other community organisations, and raising funds and awareness for the work of Open House.
